Seiko Kajiura Exhibition
“The Length and Distance of Ears”
Accessories / Objects
After studying sculpture and casting at Tokyo University of the Arts and the National University of Indonesia, artist Seiko Kajiura has continued to create her own unique world through a variety of materials. Alongside three-dimensional works featuring animal motifs, the exhibition also presents distinctive accessories.
“The difference between the rabbits and cats I create is only the length of their ears — they are characterized in much the same way. While making them, I realized that the ears of rabbits feel farther away at their tips, and I wanted to visualize the gradient in ear length between rabbits and cats.”

“Kamakura Lacquer Jewelry〈Tsuki no Sei〉 — Small Sculptures to Wear”
Tsuki no Sei
Lacquer Accessories
Founded in 2006 by Seiji Matsunaga and Yumi Miyanaga in a small workshop nestled in the valleys of Kamakura, 〈Tsuki no Sei〉 creates lacquer jewelry inspired by the richness of nature, living creatures, stories, and worlds of deep black. Each piece is a “small wearable sculpture,” carefully carved from wood and finished using traditional Japanese techniques such as lacquer coating, raden mother-of-pearl inlay, and maki-e decoration.
