Kenta Kanematsu Solo Exhibition

MOODE POP-UP

May 20 (Wed), 2026 – June 2 (Tue), 2026

Kenta Kanematsu, an artist who creates works by discovering new value in discarded materials such as construction waste and surplus resources. His pieces, characterized by delicate colors and the effective use of negative space, resonate with the comfortable lifestyle pursued by HUKLA Japan and further enhance the appeal of its furniture. During the exhibition period, a collaborative showcase with Kenta Kanematsu will be held, proposing a rich and colorful way of living where furniture and art come together in harmony.

Profile: Kane / Kenta Kanematsu
Born in 1984 in Kiyosu City, Aichi Prefecture. He creates art works that center on materials that would otherwise be discarded, such as construction waste and surplus building materials. By solidifying these materials, he visualizes the time and traces they carry as a single “mass.” Through the blending of materials with different origins, their respective backgrounds and memories intersect, elevating them into new entities imbued with fresh narratives.
He also founded the interior brand “MOODE,” based on the concept of upcycling, developing products such as lifestyle goods, jewelry, and nameplates made from construction materials, each infused with new value.
