“Palette” (Body: silk / Ribbon: polyester) ¥33,000

Person wearing a white T-shirt and black pants, with a green and blue patterned scarf around the neck.

The signature item “PALETTE” from [Popup Dress], which received the Good Design Award in 2019, is crafted from silk taffeta cut on the bias, giving it a graceful, soft expression. When folded, it is compact enough to slip into a pocket or bag, and after work, you can simply take it out, tighten the ribbon, and transform your look instantly. The high-density silk taffeta, woven in Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture, is also known as “paper taffeta” for its ability to hold shapes like paper. Using the traditional “pre-dyeing” technique, in which the yarns are dyed before weaving, the fabric reveals shifting colors depending on the angle, radiating the luminous brilliance unique to silk.

To avoid putting stress on the fabric, artisans knit them slowly and carefully using traditional machines. Each pair is then washed, naturally air-dried for the perfect finish, and individually inspected by hand before reaching you. With comfort at the heart of their creation, we invite you to experience these thoughtfully made socks.
