This print series celebrates 14 years since the last printmaking project in 2004. Titled grain, this work features subdued colors that are actually made up of numerous color particles. True to its name, grain, the overlapping layers of ink particles create a rich expression of colors and tones, resembling particles of light.

The images produced by the ink layers are unpredictable, challenging the simulations created in advance on the computer. After two years of experimentation with Iba and the printmaking studio Normal Edition, the project was completed. Comprising seven prints, the studio's expertise shines through in the details, including the use of foamed ink in certain areas to enhance the grainy texture near the surface.
