Château Mouton Rothschild, a prestigious estate in Pauillac classified as a First Growth in the Médoc classification of Bordeaux. In 1973, it achieved the only promotion since the establishment of the classification, rising from Second Growth to First Growth, marking a truly exceptional history. Known for its innovative spirit, the château’s label, designed each year by a renowned artist, is globally acclaimed as one of its defining symbols.
The wines, nurtured by Pauillac’s well-drained gravel soils, embody a distinctive style that combines power with elegance. Continuously evolving through a balance of tradition and innovation, it stands as one of Bordeaux’s most iconic estates.

The 2022 vintage, blessed with warm temperatures and abundant sunshine, resulted in outstanding ripeness and concentration of fruit. Small, densely packed berries contribute to a wine of impressive scale and structure, while expressing Mouton’s signature flamboyance and harmonious balance.

The 2022 label was created by French artist Gérard Garouste. Titled “Hommage au Baron Philippe,” it commemorates the 100th anniversary of Baron Philippe de Rothschild’s leadership. It stands as a symbolic expression of Mouton’s tradition of uniting art and wine.
