Matsuya Kyoso

Thirty auspicious kimono patterns that have been cherished in the ancient capital of Kyoto for generations have been reimagined with a contemporary touch and crafted into compact, practical furoshiki.
This project was made possible with the cooperation of Chiso Yuzen Factory, inspired by the desire to pass on the spirit of Japanese aesthetics—expressed through traditional auspicious kimono motifs that embody gratitude for nature and wishes for the happiness of loved ones—to future generations.
The fabric is woven on traditional shuttle looms in Senshu, Osaka, using an original textile developed with exceptional care.
The more you use it, the softer it becomes, and it is machine washable at home. Enjoy it for yourself, as a thoughtful gift, or for a variety of everyday occasions.
