This coat-style cardigan is a hooded version of agnès b.'s classic cardigan press. The hood is removable, so it can be worn as a round-collar jacket in early spring when you don't need the hood. The ribbed cuffs keep out the wind and provide excellent protection in winter.


In 1979, agnès b. often wore sweatshirts. One day, she had the idea that it would be nice if the front opened like the cardigans she used to wear to school, buttoned up.
She then designed the snap buttons to be closely spaced like Renaissance clothing or priest's clothing, and the Cardigan Press was born.
Originally, the Cardigan Press was made of cotton melton (fleece-lined), had a straight cut, a round collar, and two adjustment tabs on the back.
It was later released in children's and men's lines. The design has also continued to evolve, changing the Melton material to leather, making it short-sleeved, turning it into a bustier, and narrowing the waist.
The Cardigan Pression is a unique, timeless classic item from agnès b.
