One day, she had the idea that it would be nice if the front opened like the cardigans she used to wear to school, buttoned up. She designed the snap buttons to be closely spaced like Renaissance or priestly attire, and the cardigan press was born. Originally, the cardigan pression was made of cotton melton (fleece lining), had a straight cut, a round collar, and two adjustment tabs at the back.
It was later expanded to include children's and men's lines. It has also continued to evolve by changing the Melton material to leather, making it short-sleeved, turning it into a bustier, and narrowing the waist.
