This cardigan press is made from agnès b.'s classic sweatshirt material. This one features size adjustment tabs not only on the back but also on the wrists. Snap buttons are a key design feature. It's made of warm fleece-lined material.


In 1979, agnès b. often wore sweatshirts. One day, she had the idea that it would be nice if it opened in the front, like the cardigans she used to wear to school, buttoned up. She then designed the snap buttons to be closely spaced like Renaissance clothing or priest's robes, and the Cardigan Press was born.
Originally, the Cardigan Press was made from cotton melton (fleece-lined), had a straight cut, a round collar, and two adjustment tabs on the back.
It was later expanded into kids' and men's lines. The design has continued to evolve, with the melton material replaced with leather, short sleeves, a bustier design, and a cinched waist.
