Founded in 1971, Riecine is a distinguished estate in the village of Gaiole, one of the finest areas for Chianti Classico, devoted to pursuing the essence of Sangiovese. Today, winemaker Alessandro serves as the owner himself, and the estate is committed to extremely low yields and fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
“Riserva” is crafted from a blend of grapes harvested from several carefully selected top parcels, then aged in traditional large oak casks. While preserving the clarity of a classic Chianti Classico, its longer aging period adds complexity and a refined depth. Bright aromas of red fruit are complemented by gentle nuances reminiscent of dried flowers and tea leaves. The palate is smooth, with velvety, finely grained tannins that unfold pleasantly. It is an elegant wine with a distinguished finish that lingers long, balancing power and grace.
