This model combines the modern reinterpretation of the 44GS, originally released in 1967 as the foundation of the Grand Seiko Style design philosophy, with the proprietary Spring Drive mechanism.
The dial features a midnight blue color that appears almost black, harmonizing with the elegantly radiant case finished with Zaratsu polishing to achieve both refined character and high legibility. The seconds hand glides smoothly across the dial in the distinctive sweeping motion created by the unique mechanism.
It offers an approximate 72-hour (about 3-day) power reserve when fully wound, with the remaining power indicated by the power reserve display at the lower left.
