Its design is based on the “Evolution 9 Style,” a design language that fuses the essence of Grand Seiko with Japanese aesthetics at an elevated level. The dial is inspired by the dynamic ocean currents surrounding Japan, an island nation. The flow of the tide is expressed through a stamped pattern and color gradation. A darker outer edge enhances legibility, while a brighter center highlights the pattern. The gradation further emphasizes the movement of the currents and evokes the vastness of the sea. The green dial reflects the transparency of shallow, crystal-clear waters.

Equipped with the compact and slim Spring Drive movement “Caliber 9RB1,” this model achieves the most compact size among Grand Seiko diver’s watches, with a case diameter of 40.8mm.

While inheriting the wide lug design characteristic of the Evolution 9 Style, the upper surfaces have been made flatter, creating a dignified presence on the wrist when illuminated by light.

The bracelet features a slide-lock extender with a micro-adjustment mechanism. In addition to a 6mm adjustment in three 2mm increments, the extender can further expand by 18mm for diving use, allowing a total adjustment range of 24mm. Furthermore, the clasp includes a locking mechanism on the GS logo section to prevent accidental release.
