DESIGN COLLECTION ＜Sori Yanagi＞ Iron Frying Pan Magma Plate Processing 18cm

By giving the surface a textured finish similar to Nambu ironware, ingredients make contact at points rather than full surfaces, preventing food from burning or sticking. It offers the exceptional durability characteristic of cast iron pans, allowing you to enjoy heavy-duty cooking over high heat.

Sori Yanagi was a leading Japanese industrial designer of the 20th century. His work spanned a wide spectrum, from daily necessities like cutlery and stools to public structures including highway tunnels and pedestrian bridges. Crafted through rigorous prototype modeling, his simple yet usability-focused designs continue to be cherished by many.

【Design Committee Selection Comment】

"How can you make something for human hands without making it by hand?" These are the words of Sori Yanagi. His philosophy was purely simple. During the design process for kitchenware, full-scale 3D models were crafted by hand and rigorously tested under actual usage conditions identical to the final product.

"The human hand knows." What a wonderful phrase. I want to treasure and use this kitchenware, which received so much devotion during its creation.
