OMEGA Speedmaster Pilot

The “Speedmaster,” carried on all six lunar landing missions, is one of OMEGA’s most iconic models. The “Speedmaster Pilot” draws inspiration from the design of the original 1957 model and from the collection’s long aviation heritage.

This 40.85 mm model features a brushed stainless-steel case. The matte-grain black dial is enhanced with a rhodium-coloured outer track and block-shaped white Super-LumiNova indexes that glow green.

The cockpit-inspired display includes two sub-dials, each with an opaline-finished center and brushed, sloped edges. The 3 o’clock sub-dial features a matte-orange triangular hand and white transferred numerals, designed to resemble a fuel-consumption indicator, and functions as both a 60-minute and 12-hour counter. The 9 o’clock sub-dial, with a matte-yellow lacquered hand and an artificial horizon motif, is inspired by a target-sight indicator and serves as the small-seconds display.

The hour and minute hands are matte black with PVD coating and filled with white Super-LumiNova that glows green. The tip of the central chronograph seconds hand is decorated with an orange airplane motif.

This “Speedmaster Pilot” is paired with a brushed stainless-steel flat-link bracelet using OMEGA’s patented screw-and-pin system. It is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900 and presented in a special travel pouch with a strap-changing tool and NATO strap.
