The Drapé (Drape)
White linen cloth

A design inspired by towels passed down through generations in the family. It evokes linen cloths inherited across generations, bathed in abundant sunlight, washed with Marseille soap, and carefully ironed.

La Grande Dame 2018 is the 25th vintage since its first release in 1972.

In 2018, exceptional conditions yielded some of the highest quality grapes in recent years.

Following an unusually rainy winter after a long, hot summer of intense sunshine, 2018 produced a large harvest of high quality grapes. With remarkably outstanding quality, it offers a perfect balance of freshness, richness, and aromatic complexity.

In this vintage, Pinot Noir from vineyards in the northern part of the Montagne de Reims region brings structure, power, and liveliness, while Pinot Noir from vineyards in the south contributes texture, depth of flavor, and smoothness, creating a wine with breadth both vertically and horizontally.

La Grande Dame, which elevates Pinot Noir into a true art form, is born only in years when grapes of exceptional quality are harvested.

Aroma:
This vintage offers fresh aromas of lime and yuzu, accompanied by floral notes reminiscent of honeysuckle.
It also features fruity nuances of pear, apple, and white peach, with subtle touches of almond and fig adding greater richness to the bouquet.

Taste:
On the palate, the first impression is marked by a superb balance of delicacy and liveliness, with a pronounced sense of citrus and salinity.
Spicy nuances of ginger, licorice, and white pepper, along with subtle aromas of baked goods, lend richness to the bouquet and add further depth to the cuvée.
