The seat is contoured to the shape of the hips to reduce fatigue even during prolonged sitting, while the 3-legged design prevents wobbling.

Werner, a Scandinavian brand from Denmark, is famous for the iconic Shoemaker Chair. The history of the Shoemaker Chair dates back to 15th-century Scandinavia, rooted in traditional 3-legged Scandinavian stools used for milking on farms during long working hours.

Size: SH56cm

【Design Committee Selection Comment】
Born around the 15th century for agricultural work, the three-legged structure provided excellent stability, and in the 17th century, modifications to the seat made it a favorite among shoemakers. The T-shaped stretcher supporting the three legs serves as a footrest, but its greatest charm is the seat sculpted from thick beech wood. Danish tradition and sophistication at their finest.
